From the Corporate World to Residential Real Estate
Tamy Bobbitt had a successful career in the corporate sector before making the switch to becoming an real estate agent and entrepreneur.
Her success in the corporate sector was a direct result of her ability to build relationships based on value which helped her build a strong network. This network was hugely important to nurture and cultivate when she made the switch into residential real estate.
One of Tamy s best moves early on was finding a brokerage (Baird & Warner) that had a familiar atmosphere like the one she had in the corporate world. For her it was important to have a strong platform and brokerage support to build her business on and Baird & Warner allower her to do exactly that.
Three Calls a Day
Tamy reaches out to her database using one of the most powerful marketing tools that every agent already has access to today, The Telephone.
From the day she started up to the present she reaches out calls her database and calls at least three people a day. Her main goal is to reach out to a past client, a prospect, and another industry professional. The calls are not direct sales calls using sales scripts, they are calls which are made simply to just say hi and strike up some friendly casual conversation.
Her strategy worked.
Tamy was able to build her business not with sales scripts and big marketing budgets, but by being genuine, nice, honest, and by actually caring like a human being about the people in her networks.
Good marketing is just good communications, and if you have something valuable to communicate you can build your database and build a successful business.
