There is no official job title for what I do in the real estate industry…
Because I’m an actual practitioner of the marketing work that I talk about. Here’s a visual of what I do!
1: I used to be a REALTOR® and a Managing Broker with just over 30 agents at our office, then back in 2010 I started to see how the Internet, Social Media, and Zillow were beginning to change the industry and how it operates.
And that’s where my journey into digital marketing began.
2: We started by focusing on Listings Marketing as the real estate industry was coming out of crash. So I learned Real Estate Photography and Videography.
3. From my work running Facebook ads and creating over 2,500 real estate marketing videos I started to ask to speak about this work at real estate marketing conferences and events. CLICK HERE to check out my PRO Speaker Page.
4. Then, I started a podcast! You can listen and watch episodes by CLICKING HERE!
5. And I do some blogging…. CLICK HERE!
6. And I have a video production company called El Guapo Video Marketing. CLICK HERE to check it out.
My Story in Writing
There is no single job title for what I do today. I’m a former Realtor who was just looking for a better way to market my brand and listings online. So I started going to every tech, marketing, and social media training class I could find to learn how.
Unfortunately, there is no shortage of “real estate marketing gurus”. When it came to digital marketing I felt that the gurus were only teaching surface level material, and it was all geared towards some type of an eventual upsell.
When it became clear that I wasn’t going to learn anything from the “gurus” I decided to go outside of the real estate industry and learn about digital marketing from the actual practitioners who have built businesses with it. I found people like Gary Vaynerchuk, Seth Godin, Marcus Sheridan, Brian Clark (Copyblogger), Jon Loomer, and Rick Mulready.
I then took this knowledge and applied into my own brokerage and real estate business.
Fast forward a few years and I started getting asked to share and speak about the marketing work I was implementing. This is how Agent Redefined was born.
